CAN YOU PAINT ACROSS UV TEXTURE SET INSIDE SUBSTANCE PAINTER OR SUBSTANCE DESIGNER

Perfect timing... I ran across this feature request earlier today...

https://allegorithmic.uservoice.com/forums/261284-substance-painter/suggestions/6626602-paint-seamlessly-over-several-uv-and-texture-sets

The status was set to "PLANNED" on October 27, 2015.
Five months later... time for an update?
Or better yet, the functionality!  ;)

This functionality will actually come with UDIMs, planned fro a 2.x version of Substance Painter.
Texture Set will remain independent however.

Thanks for the update, Froyok.

I've been full of dumb questions the last few days... What's UDIM?

Oh, wow, that UDIM article is interesting.  Thanks for the link.

I think was it means to me (as a simply hobbyist with a really cool toy) is the great folks at Allegorithmic will support some more technical stuff and for me it will just magically work.  I really love playing with models and textures, and learning about the industry as a whole, but I also have a day-job and a family to tend to.
