Author Topic: Exporting with Unity 5 Specular preset  (Read 208 times)

I'm having troubles with the SpecularSmoothness whenever I want to export my textures for Unity. The smoothness doesn't seem to be included in the textures and I also get the warning

[MapExporter] The input map 'Glossiness' needed by the map 'Chest02_LowerPart_shd_SpecularSmoothness' of the texture set 'LowerPart_shd' isn't available because: Your texture set needs a 'Roughness' channel to generate the 'Glossiness' map.

even though a texture set does contain a roughness channel by default but it seems it doesn't recognise it. What do I need to do to fix this?

If you're working with Metal Rough and exporting out you'll see the Spec template uses converted maps so if you have a Base Color, Metal, Roughness it should export out fine.

Are you working in Spec Gloss instead and trying to use this template? If so just duplicate the template and swap out your converted maps for the non-converted ones for the Diffuse, Gloss, and Specular.

I do work in Metal Rough, for some reason only the lower part of the model has smoothness included in the texture while both parts have identical texture set settings.
