Hello

With the latest builds of 3ds max and the Substance integration, touching source materials in the vray slate editor during interactive rendering leads to 3ds max crashing in I believe 100% of all times. This happens when I adjust anything in the substance2 map itself but also when touching a different part of the same material, e.g. a color correction and sometimes even if I click on anything in the slate editor. Current workaround is to bake the materials and get rid of the substance2 map which stops all crashing but kills flexibility.

Substance in 3ds Max 2021, version 2.4.2
Build 23 - 0150d93dae92468357c6dea9e646df4c8bf52383
Vray 5 hotfix 2 (5.00.05 build 00001)
3ds Max 2021.3
source material, e.g. embroidery_on_sheer_linen.sbsar

ADM Ryzen Threadripper 3990 64-Core 2.90 Ghz
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti
256 RAM
Win 10

update: attempting to change any other material (not substance) during rendering crashes 3ds max too when substance materials exist in the scene and in the slate editor view

Hi there, Integrations PM here! Thanks for the details! I've passed this over to the team to reproduce and look in to - once we are able to validate, we'll plan for a fix. I'll follow up as soon as I know more - thanks!

At least for me it worked well (apart from these other issues described further down)
