How do I get Substance Launcher to use a different Installation Path for Apps?

I install my applications on an external drive connected to my Mac Pro. Substance Launcher seems to be hard coded to only install in /Applications/Substance <--- (insert product name).

Is there a way to change the default installation path for applications?

Yes, I would like Launcher to install on my external as well. I have SSDs

On linux I made a symlink from the default install location to the desired location. Seems to work perfectly
I assume it would be the same on windows
