Author Topic: Random Hue on tile generator and tile sampler is broken  (Read 418 times)

It seems like the hue value on the tile nodes doesn't wrap around properly.
So, starting with pure red only randomizes half the tiles in a range between cyan and red. Hue[0.5, 1]

You can still get the full range by setting the base color as cyan, but a partial range near red is now impossible.


This behavior should indeed be tweaked, however we can't change it on the current version of the nodes: doing that would potentially change the result of currents graphs :/

That's indeed annoying. I guess it's too small of a change to add new nodes and hide the existing ones from the library?
Perhaps another option could be to add a switch between "deprecated" behavior and full hue range behavior, which defaults to deprecated, leaving existing graphs unchanged.
