Have anyone tried the "simple" scripting - to edit materials realtime. Like they describe here:

My question is - how big impact does it have on perfomance?

Im working on HDRP project - and im considering using some Substance materials - but i also consider using the script to edit the materials dynamically - but i have no idea how "hard" it is on the fps?

Im also thinking what is possible to edit in substance plugin - like in the example above is it then also possible to edit something like number or even look of the shape of tiles on the ground - different from the other textures? - im guessing that must be pretty hard on performance?
