Author Topic: Maps flicker/act glitchy  (Read 877 times)

Hi, thank you for taking the time to read this. I can't find anyone with a similar problem or solution online.

I'm new to Painter and recently finished the lamp tutorials on the Substance YouTube channel. I made sure to follow every step, but throughout the tutorials my viewport was being weird (I uninstalled and reinstalled Substance and made sure to update and restart my computer).

I made a new project and the problem was still there:
This is what it should look like (however bad lol). Normals and colors are all there, but as I go to adjust the blue color slightly, and the whole thing turns white.
Then I go to paint blue on the mesh, and the normals disappear.
This is an example of how the colors and normals (and roughness) will pop up and flicker randomly as i'm making adjustments. Sometimes I will even just turn visibility off and on for a layer and it will appear differently in the viewport after.
I would love some advice on this because it's hard to move forward when you can't really see what's going on.
Thank you!!
