Author Topic: glass in maya, how to create opacity while also preserving other elements  (Read 1290 times)

So i am currently shading a window that I modeled in Maya and then textured in substance painter.

A problem I can across while shading the glass is creating the opacity while also maintaining other elements on the glass such as dirt layers and such. But I having issues gaining the opacity but also keeping my other layer of dirt and such on the glass.

Can you post some screen shots of the issue you are getting? What renderer are you using?
