Author Topic: B2M Unity errors  (Read 6519 times)

Hi,

I'm still evaluating B2M under Unity and I'm starting to see that I'm receiving errors on the Unity console:

m_ThreadedObjectActivationQueue.empty() && m_ThreadedObjectActivationMap.empty()

and when I click on play:

ms_IDToPointer->find (obj->GetInstanceID ()) == ms_IDToPointer->end ()

It seems it's and old case (I also posted there just in case):
http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/m_threadedobjectactivationqueue-empty-error-on-scene-load.174961/

are the other users of B2M and Unity experiencing the same?

Thanks.

Could you please submit a bug report with a simple unity project reproducing the error ?
Bug reports can be submitted here
http://support.allegorithmic.com/documentation/display/HOME/Documentation+for+the+Allegorithmic+Products
(there's a small "report a bug" button on the right) or by sending an email at bugs@allegorithmic.com

Thanks.

PS : I've been informed there's a problem with the bug submission form. Sending an email is probably the safer method until we fix the website.

Hello,

I can't seem to re-create this issue. Would it be possible to submit a support request with the Unity project?

Hi,

I emailed to bugs@allegorithmic.com, as requested.

Just in case Wes is not able to access that email, I will post the dropbox link to the Unity project here.

I will keep this link valid while we are trying to figure out the case.

Hi,

I see the error now. This might be related to the terrain. I have given this scene to the developers and they will check this out. I'll post back additional information.

Hi,

Yes, it seems to be caused by the terrain using SubTerrain. I updated to Unity 4.5.3f3 and now the scene is not opening, Unity also crashes (I'm under MacOSX 10.9.4). I tried to create a scene from the beginning and after saving, closing Unity and reopening it again, it also crashes.

The message before the crash is (just in case this helps):
GetManagerFromContext: pointer to object of manager 'RenderSettings' is NULL (table index 18)
UnityEditor.DockArea:OnGUI()

Hope this helps!

Hello,

I've notified our developers about this issue. Are you using B2M with Unity Terrain? Does it crash when not using Terrains?

Hello,

After some more testing:

- B2M alone works ok.

- I tested SubTerrain (Substance Terrain Tool v1.1.1) alone, with the sample substances provided and also crashes.

So, everything seems to come from using SubTerrain to use substances in the terrain.

I'm mixing the use of both because my intention was to use B2M output in terrains also. And the only way to get good results with this, that I found, was to use the SubTerrain shader override for Unity terrains you were providing.

The only thing I already know is that I like Bitmap2Material, so I will end buying it from the Unity Asset Store. Hope I can use it also on terrains or find an alternative solution.

Thanks.
