Hi there.

It would be cool to be able to have more options to manipulate grouped layers. Also I found many times wishing to have transformation or deformation options at the 2D level like the warp transform option in photoshop.


Hi there.

For some reason, Substance Source is not loading on Win 10. The wheel of dead is the only thing I can see. is accessing it but it just does not load. Any ideas why?

Hi there. It would be super useful to be able to manipulate folders. Move them, rotate them, add filters. Etc. I hope this feature comes in the near future.

Hi there.

I have a big UDIM scene to export. My Tdr delay is at 120 secs. Can I keep adding more time to it? When I export at 2K Subtance does not crash. When I export at 4K it crashes.

Is in the works support for the .tx image format?

Using Clarisse I find a great conversion tool for my Png textures into .tx and the loading time is super fast. So I checked the export formats in SP but there is no.tx.

It is possible to export directly from SP into .tx?


Is coming. I can feel it. This feature will catapult Painter into another dimension.

Clarisse Substance Painter workflow is worth it to check it out. Standard and Disney Principled Shader use a different approach but It gives you a little inside about the usage of the materials for pbr metallic and in general workflow.

But the export presets save the name of the file. Is very useful and I have many.

Basically, I want to avoid retyping the name of a texture file if the texture needs an update, little time saver, then I just drop the file to my server and I know for sure it will be updated.

And this works when moving through different projects? In my mind, each project should keep the exported texture name and not the ones from a previous session, is confusing.

I will check the Save as Template option.


Is possible for Substance to remember the configuration texture name by session? At the moment every time, I readjust a texture at the export time I have to manually add the name of the file. The configuration keeps the file texture name from the previous version. Is possible to avoid this?

Quick question. Is there a way to start a project with the IOR channel already add it to my material? Is possible on some of the available Shaders?
