Ok, I think it never gave me such a screen, maybe it was only in substance designer.
Downloading from my account now!

I just bought the indie pack  :)
But now suddenly the little screen to put in the serial and user number doesn't show while starting SP  :(

Whats up, I still cannot export my maps because SP is still in demo mode, restarting the computer did not help.

Indeed downloaded one of the snake skins from the database to get my self acquainted.
Should not be a problem, but one day I will start to pester you guys asking questions on how to create my own noises anyway.

Substance PainterSubstance Painter - Technical Support - load last project

I looked under preferences but cannot find an option to load the most recent used project.
Possible? Otherwise start with an empty screen.

Yes the same here on windows 7.
Cant figure out when and why but on a regular basis SP crashes, sometimes it even freeses my computer completely so that I need to do a restart.
Hope this will get fixed soon because as allready mentioned its a great software.  :)

Just a quick question,

I want to try and build a tileable snake skin in SD. Any tip in how to create tileable noises in SD, I guess I will need to do that with an FX map?

Further more, I saw two snake skins in the database, but I could not find a lot of info and previews about them, also if they are tileable or not.

By any change, are you running under the CPU engine (SSE2) ?
You can try to switch to the GPU engine (DirectX/OpenGl) via Tool > Switch Engine, it's the only one able to output 4K textures.

OK, I found it.
Compute output was set to no, I was fooled because when copying a working output-node from an other graph it automaticaly switched to NO also. Don't know why this is though.

With "strange" do you mean the lines thickness?
I must say its something weird going on there, I get different results when changing the nodes resolution.
Also when I set it to absolute and crank it up to 4K; the output node gives 4k but the noise node keeps saying 2K.
Maybe there is a good reason for this (I'm a noob too)?

I'm missing some point then, I double checked and added three output nodes.

Somewhere else then probably that I need to check, but where?

Hey guys,

What could be a possible reason for the following error message in Substance player: Cannot load Substance binary file
Also in Substance painter it gives me a n error when trying to import a substance.
I had it working a few times but with the attached substance things go wrong.

I stripped the substance to the barebones still will not load, while others do load fine.
Working on a new laptop alienware with a Nvidia GTX 860M

Actually your first suggestion worked just fine.
I simply made the silly mistake to copy from the editor where the nodes are, now I know better (well a little bit  ;))

Cannot have it working so I'm simply doing something wrong.

1. I go into the graph editor of the substance I want to copy.
2. Right click, select all.
3. Right click, copy.
4. Go into explorer, right click, new package.
5. Select "unsaved package", right click and save.
6. Select "saved package", right click, paste.

Nothing happens....
I tried to look it up in the manual, but nothing there.
Is there some video where this process is shown.
