I can't say what the problem might be, but the first item would be to attach a log file as in this link.,22451.0.html

Even though it didn't run, I think there should be a log file.

If you follow the link, there is also a section which instructs you where to find the log file as in your case.

Well, whatever the object is, it sounds like there is not a UV map. Did you create a UV map in blender? SP has to have UV maps.

I believe you need to change your thinking a bit. While the software has 'paint' in it's name you need to think of things as 'textures' or 'materials'. You can save Materials. Materials can be saved on a project basis where the saved materials are only available in the particular project. Or, you can save Materials on a global basis where the material is available in other projects too.

I'm not a good one to explain the process but Wes does explain saving materials in this tutorial.,5550.0.html

You're welcome. I had to figure that out the hard way, a while back. Also, some Windows updates wipe out those keys and you'll have to replace them.

There are 2 registry keys that are to be added.
TdrDelay and TdrDdiDelay, both are to be set to 60 decimal which is 3C hexadecimal.

Peter, silly question because I did the it the first time I made the changes in the registry.

There are 2 values to change. You did both, correct?

Did you change both settings, I think they're TdrDelay and TdtDdiDelay.

There are 2 settings, TdrDelay and TdrDdiDelay, the recommendation is to set them to 60

You need to upload a log file.

What is your computer, video card, etc?

Well, you mention the TDR message. Have you followed the link and made the recommended changes? I also imagine the folks would like to see a copy of the log too.

Also, is that 8GB ram on the 1080 and 16GB of computer memory? What size of mesh are you bringing into SP?

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. SP creates Texture sets based upon Material IDs from the original mesh. I'm going to guess that you only have one material assigned in Maya.

Search the word "merge" in Substance Share. Wes had created a utility to merge up to 5 texture sets.
