This is still happening as of today. Needs a fix..

This really could use Options for Normal Map Type Export and Channel Packing just like in Substance Painter. You have to manually flip the Green channel in a paint app to use the normal map in unity. And then I have to run everything through a Channel Packer if I am doing the HD or Universal Pipeline in Unity. I kind of expected this to have the same set-up you use in painter with profiles for Unity, Unreal, Redshift ETC....

The way it is now, it is actually slower then using Quixel Mixer.

I just Bought the Black Friday subscription for 1 year. But when I look at the download page it says that the downloads are only valid until 6-12-2020. That is not a full year so I am wondering why it doesn't say 11-29-2020?

That’s american format. It means December 6.
There is 1 year + 1 week of grace period to renew your payment.

I just upgraded Designer right before a live broadcast and the Gradient node failed when I sampled an image. I thought you guys would like to know it seems to be broken.

Is Actual Displacement in painter yet??

So if Unity sticks to their normal Timetable, We will see Unity 2018 in less then 4 weeks. Myself and some of my students are looking for when we can use a beta for Substance Materials in Unity? Even a Vague Ballpark Figure would help us establish some basic schedules.

I started with the latest drivers. That was giving me errors so I rolled backed the driver. I don't know how far back the log file goes but it wasn't working with the current drivers.

I make a Black mask and copy and past it to another layer. But when I invert i get issue if I do anything to it like paint on it, Huge sections seem to disappear on the screen. If I close the program and reopen it everything looks fine again. It's making it impossible to work.

I have tried rolling back my Nvidea driver. But that doesn't help.

My System:
Intel i7-3770 CPU
Ram 32 Gigs
Windows 10 Pro
Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080

I usually go from Zbrush to Substance Painter. One of the bigger questions is what Smoothing the UVS in Zbrush does in Substance Painter. will this cause Misalignments with edges???

So as I am new to Substance Painter and Redshift. I was wondering which preset I should use? The one from the Docs page or the one that comes with the current build of the software???

HI,

You can actually use either one. If you set the Fresnel type to metalness you can use what is shown in the guide.

First off,Thanks for the kind words. :) I am happy to say that your software is Amazing!! It's not often I find software that challenges my expectations. In less then a week I have the basics down and have used it to improve one of my products on the Unity Asset Store.

I am already adding this software to all my classes and tutorials and I am excited to delve into the more complex tools as I start on some figures next. I now consider your software as important as Zbrush in my Pipeline. Which means it will be used on EVERYTHING...

As far as my personal Wish List for more tools goes... I would love to see an Override on folders that could change the mapping from UV's to Triplanar for all objects within the Folder/Group.
And I would Love to see a Drag-Rect Brush such as Zbrush has.

I am just Massively Impressed with all your software guys!!
