Hi community,

I would like to post some mods which I have model and textured in SP2 for the game Spintires.
The available shader in SP2 are not the same as in Spintires but you get a very good idea how it will look in game.

Its something completely different to enjoy your graphics and models in game. Both trucks where first textured in SP1 and over the last week re textured in SP2. To test new function from SP2!

by the way I made the ground textures in game (terrain) with B2M-3.

Substance DesignerSubstance Designer - Discussions - Bio-Cell Pattern

Hi folks,

I start to refresh my drawing skills, until I recognize the importance of sketches... anyway: I draw a quick cell and I want to recreate the cell pattern in Substance Designer. Is this possible to create this pattern with Substance Designer? Or should I draw the pattern by hand and import it for further use in SD.?

Hi, the preview of the brush rotation in the 3D viewport is off...
when I rotate the camera to the other side (But the "paint" result is correct).

I record a quick and short video on how to use the exported maps from the preset PBR 2 in Marmoset Toolbag 2.



Preview Generator :: Painter & Marmoset
Those scenes are available for download and quite useful to generate a quick material preview (thumbnails) for the shelf.
Each download contain: Substance Painter project, Marmoset Toolbag scene and mesh files (Also one folder:Textures).

Whatever you're planning with the downloaded stuff, I do not care (it's free).

Where is the option for saving particles presets in Substance Painter gone?
Will be the preview generated automatic?

Is there a material preview scene provided by allegorithmic to generate the thumbnails for the Substance Painter library?
I want to keep the shelf visual clean without different type of thumbs.

Why do we have 2 material tabs in the shelf?
How I get my materials into the right tab?

  • I started a new painter project and after a while I save the project and quit Painter.
  • I change some substance and update them (documents - folder)
  • I open Substance Painter (Everything is normal)
  • I open my saved project and the double substance appear.

As the title says: Polygroups from zBrush can slow down Painters Viewport! I upload the obj and zBrush file.
If I export a mesh from zBrush and it has some polygroup defined,
the viewport in Substance Painter is slow and without fast and responsible.

Texturing marathon (Substance Painter) for learning purpose started in january 2015.
I Am quite happy with Substance Painter (over 100 render are done so far) even there are some limitations
for rendering in none game engines such as the max. resolution output at 4K.
