Same question here.

With the upcoming UDIM support the demand for a color baker is getting higher.
We need to bake the color from 20 UDIMs down to 4 UDIMs in a lot of cases.

Baking from high polycount cinematic assets down to ingame versions is also one workflow example.

I wont buy a card without CUDA.

I dont think you get much of a performance gain with that card stepping down from your 980Ti.
Get a 2070 would make much more sense.

Yes we do cause we have totally different UVs for different versions of our assets.
And we often bake from our highres cinematic assets.

Would be a great feature to have.
Its really missing in painter.

I thought there is a workaround to make the shader creation in Maya faster.
Maybe in the future with the new materialX.


Is there a way to automatically load a Substance from Painter.
Im not able to get it working with the new plugin in Maya.
Im only able to load .sbsar files.

Id like to hook up all the files i crated in painter in one go.

Just in case someone is interested in those talks.
