But there are qt based programms which run fine with fractional scaling (Maya) or whole operating systems (Deepin OS) where fractional scaling works. I really hope this problem can be solved in the near future.

Then Painter is upscaled from a lower resolution by 150%. It is like upscaling an image bei 150% in Photoshop with bilinear filtering, everything becomes blurry.
Painter (and Designer) is running on Qt5.9 framework which supports fractional scaling perfectly and I can not understand why the developers do not implement proper scaling until these day.   :-\

Hi,
 I found several threads in the forum regarding a way to tile and randomize without intersecting, unfortunately without any good solution. I think Substance Designer would really benefit from such a Circle Packing node for example to create foam like bubbly structures.

Now that Painter is on QT 5.9 framework, will there be some decent UI scaling options (25% increments) and not only to big or to small (200%/100%)?

 Hi!
I have some simple object with a triplanar mapped height channel, everythng looks fine there. But in the resulting normal map channel the normal direction flips across the UV border and is clearly visivle on the model. Any ideas?

I did not use the hqplane but the normal plane with a subdivision according to the map resolution so you have one poly per pixel. :-)

Hey,
is it possible to export 16k maps? I set the cooking size limit to 16k but I am only able to export 8k maps.

Also had an eye on this one but couldn't figure out how to do the line structure without svg import. I'm curious what your solution will be :-)

thanks! yes, rendered inside designer with iray (well, and a little bit color correction in photoshop).

Hi!

Im using Designer for the first time with the demo version and after some tutorials this is my first own substance.
Also I am looking for a way to safe the iray setup and camera position, doesn't seem to work with "export current state".
