I'm looking for a way that allows a user to adjust a histogram slider using an exposed parameter. Is there a way to make it via function so that if the user chooses to turn the feature on "true" then the slider for the parameter appears and if they choose false, then the slider disappears?

Thanks in advance.

Hey everyone, I don't know if anyone has had a similar issue, but whenever I am using Substance Designer, and I make parameter changes to nodes, I get this unusual quiet beeping or "short-circuiting" sound coming from what I think is my graphics card. I have a GTX 1060 so it shouldn't have any issues running the software. Unusually enough as well, I only experience this sound when using the software. Games don't cause an issue, other software don't cause an issue.

Although it doesn't inhibit my texture making at all, it does concern me and would hopefully like to figure out what is going on with my computer or the software.

I'm not 100% positive if there is a node that already exists for this, but it would be cool if the tile sampler node output individual gray-scale maps based upon pattern number. Say for example, if you have four pattern inputs and you randomize them the way you want, then the tile sampler would have 5 outputs.

1) The combined patterns
2) Gray-scale map for pattern 1
3) Gray-scale map for pattern 2
4) Gray-scale map for pattern 3
5) Gray-scale map for pattern 4

I'm aware that I could utilize 2 tile sampler nodes in order to achieve a mask, but I feel like a feature such as this would make sense to include with the node. Correct me if I'm right or wrong. What are other people opinions on this?

Substance DesignerSubstance Designer - Technical Support - Flood Fill Bug
 on: October 04, 2018, 09:16:21 am
I've happened to notice this several times, but there seems to be an issue with the flood fill to random grayscale node. All the other flood fill to- nodes seem to work fine. The input mask I'm using is fine. 100% white on black mask so I'm not sure why there are issues? The workaround is simple, but figured it was worth mentioning the issue.

Yeah I am currently dealing with the same issue. It seems that when they updated and fixed/added nodes, I have a slight assumption that variables may have been changed or duplicated in the wrong way causing the issue. I've been using Designer a while now and have never run into this before, so I can only assume it's not user based. Hopefully they figure it out  :).
