I am about to make a profiles for my keyboard depending on what application is launched. photoshop, zbrush, 3ds max, etc... But my SP is on a steam, so i have a hard time finding a path to .exe file. What can I do?

Substance PainterSubstance Painter - Discussions - Sharpening paint layer

Hi, I have MG generator and on top of that paint sublayer. How can I sharpen this paint layer without affecting everything else?
If i move paint sub-layer beneath mg generator, its effect disappeares. I cant add level to paint and I don't see sharpening tool.

Please help ;)

When I right click on in a layer pallete and after choosing create smart material I got massage visible on a screenshot. Why is it happening, how to avoid it?

How can I sample information from baked map by clone tool?

I have no layers in my projects at all, just baked maps. Then I create new layer and I would like to sample information from baked maps and paint over on just created layer, by using clone tool. How can I do it?


Does substance live allow me to use substance painter? For $19.99 monthly

If yes, how? I see only $149 on a website.

Why IRay is not available anymore?

It used to look alright but from a few weeks it is like on a screenshot. What's going on guys? Is it somehow my fault or common problem with painter?


Substance PainterSubstance Painter - Discussions - Is dual docking supported?

I work on two monitors, like most of us, and it is normal for me having all the panels on the secondary screen and viewport on primary. However I can't stack together substance painter panels on secondary screen like I can on primary.
Isn't supported or I have to find magic option to turn this on? I am working under Windows 10, alsi I've read that OS has "each desktop has own spaces" option somewhere.

Usually it works, but when doesn't i have no clue why. Rotation pivot is set by painting some mesh area. Simple.
So why it does not work every time? What's the workaround?


Substance PainterSubstance Painter - Discussions - How quickly scale my mask?

I am looking for this feature for the third time, never found an easy access to it.

I have a surface texture for adding fine details... but it has to be tiled. I am using it as a mask for filling layer, how to scale the mask? When I apply MG editor it ^&%*&% whole thing replacing my bitmap with some crazy curvature informations.

I assumed that when rendering IRay is using highest possible texture size (4k in my case). Good I checked, because when I paint my pc can handle only 1x1k and I have to remember (and struggle with performance) to switch to4k before pressing F10 for rendering. Can I set-up somewhere that Iray will use 4k textures by default without me remembering about switching from 1k to 4k?

I think everyone does it this way from time to time. Just scrolls through all blend modes of a layer and chooses best looking effect.
IN substance painter necessary is to pick up one by one from scroll-down list. Very time consuming, do you agree?


How can I create layer from a imported bitmap?

I have found a way. Would be great to could just drag and drop it from a shelf.
