Could someone clarify the meaning of these settings in the Preferences under IRay?

Substance Designer - Discussions - [SOLVED] Multiswitch Limit Number of inputs

I'm not sure if I understand this correctly.

I want to use multi_switch to be able to select from three different colour inputs.
There is Input Number and I set it to three.

When I expose the Input Selection parameter, I am getting a slider that goes all the way to twenty. I don't want twenty, I want just three to select from one, two or three. Am I missing something here?

Hi,
Why is the mg_dripping_rust node taking only grayscale values for Position input? My position maps are not grayscale.
I'd really appreciate your help.
