It is mostly out of necessity and the fact that I am an artist that could benefit from this tool, but I don't really know where to begin putting together a script to process my work. I have some coding experience, but it is just overwhelming when I get the product and don't know how to deal with it. If anyone has a good resource for learning the basics and progressing then I am all for it, but with the research, I have done, I can't efficiently learn and implement this into my work.

I did some photogrammetry on a vase and spent some time fixing errors and topology to fit the real life mesh. Doing so messes up the UVs so I need to rebake the color texture from the raw scan down to the fixed mesh with new UVs. I tried exporting FBX files with diffuse materials and media embedded but that yielded a grey map baked out of designer. I am trying to keep the work flow to as few programs as possible and want to know if there is a way to do this in Designer?

Baking the Color from mesh using Material ID source has not given any result that even begins to tell me it is working. I have increased the cage distance, save format, and tried baking a different textures to it. I even made the material in substance and applied it to the material slot on the mesh in designer. I have no idea where the problem is or if it can even be done. The documentation suggests that it is possible, but I have had no luck. Does anyone know what to do or what to experiment with more?

I have been doing texture scanning for the better part of 6 months now, and I am running into a problem after adjusting my rig to have 6 lights. I do not get any results from substance when I use 6 different angles spaced 60 degrees apart. I don't really understand what is happening. I thought I could have been bit depth, the order of the pictures, but everything was in the correct place. I get somewhat usable results from 4 and 8 map inputs, but not to the quality I need. Does anyone know what could be causing the problem? does substance not like that perticular number of inputs. I am also on substance 2018.1.
