Some of our latest materials, especially the latest ground ones, are high quality scan-based materials and therefore are very heavy. This could be the explanation! As most of the other sbsar in the library are procedural and are several hundred times lighter.

Can you please give me an example of a material you downloaded which is not labeled as licensed?
We changed the way it is written so it is a bit more discreet now (grey check icon).

We now have a new forum and are retiring this one, in the future please use this new one to let us know about the issues you encounter:

Or does this mean we should cancel our subscriptions and subscribe via adobe instead? I'd imagine if that was the case, it would be done automatically, because this is confusing.

Hi, It is not something that we would be able to do automatically, as Allegorithmic and Adobe are two separate companies registered in different countries.
You can definitely cancel your Substance subscription and get a new one on the Adobe side!
We are working on a way to help transfer your asset list and your remaining points that would work well for that case. The feature is not yet available but we will let you know when it is the case.

This forum board will soon close as we have a new one, so dont hesitate to post on next time!

Hi John,

The player is still up and running!
It can be downloaded here:

Hi John,

Thanks a lot for letting us know!
We will take a look at it and try to fix the issue asap.

We are working on the feature and will let users know when it is available!

Hi Andre,
The file has been fixed and is updated on the substance 3D assets website!
You can download the updated version without having to spend more points.

We now have a new forum for the Substance 3D Community Assets
In the future please create topics there and like here we will try to answer your questions as quickly as possible!
Please use the "Community Assets" topic/label when posting about this platform

Thank you!

We had a few technical issues on the website yesterday but now things should be back to normal!

Hey Guys

Can existing points on SS be used to purchase the new models and environments or is this a purchase a new subscription type deal ?

Hi J,
3D models and environment lights can be licensed by users who have the 3D collection subscription via Adobe.
With your download points you keep access to the same asset types as before: materials, atlases and decals.
We have added quite a lot of models and lights as free assets, so you can start using those for free!

I can't believe you're so relaxed about what you just said! I'm furious! What is going on?????????? Where are all my assets? Really, really not good enough!

As I answered on the other post you made, please make sure you are logged in with the right account!
We did not remove any points to anyone, no Substance account was touched.

Please check this post on our new forum for more details

They show up in the launcher but why not on the website? According to your website I had NO assets until I redownloaded one to see what would happen, a free one by the way.

You probably were automatically logged in with your Adobe account!
The same assets appear as licensed on the website and in the launcher, please just make sure to log in with your Substance account to get access to them.

Please check this post if you want more details

Hi Tensitz,

Regarding "Owned" vs "Licensed": there were no changes in the EULA, but the term "licensed" is more clear to explain what actually happens.
When you download an asset from the platform you have a personal license to use it: you can use it on projects (commercial or not), use it as is or as a base to create your own asset etc. You do not own it, as Substance still has the ownership of the IP.
This is why the EULA says that you don't have the right to resell it as is or to send it to someone else who does not have the license for example.

For the points and list of licensed assets, we are currently working on a solution to allow users to transfer to their Adobe account, but as the accounts are separate and that they do not follow the same laws (French for Substance accounts and US for Adobe accounts) it is not as easy as it seems! We will let you know as soon as the feature is up and running.

I'll let the artists know that there is a request for more realistic fur!
But from what I know it is not ideal to do in a material for most furs as individual hairs have to be added later

Hi Newown,

Thank you for the recommendation and the mockup!
It is not the first time that a "wishlist"/shopping cart/favorites is asked for on Source, we'll look into it!
