The value proposition for including Lighting and Models in a separate price tier but (still) purchasable on the basis of the SAME credit system used for downloading materials is fundamentally anti-consumer.

Adobe is literally pay-gating access to other 3d assets to increase buy-in for the more expensive plan, i.e. "If you have Substance credits and you want to download Lighting or Models with those credits, then you must also pay (at least) an additional US$20.00/mo to ACCESS those assets".

Adobe, this is inappropriate. There is no reason to NOT associate a price for new asset types via the Substance credit system (e.g. Lighting and Models), but it is NOT appropriate to pay-gate those assets on top of that price - this is basically a surcharge on top of the price for those assets.

I would invite the Substance / Adobe product team to reevaluate the pricing of these assets and develop a pricing model that is more consumer friendly and accessible to the loyal patrons of the Substance community.

How to migrate existing Allegorithmic license subscription to new Adobe subscription. Discount for long time users?

Substance Designer 2021.1.2 (11.1.2) build 4593 commit 0a3b2baa Release (2021-03-17)
Windows 10

Substance Designer crashes in a dual monitor setup. The crashing behavior can be replicated by launching the program on a secondary display. Crashing in a dual monitor setup has been reported numerous times.

[Project management] Failed to open project 'C:/Users/####/Desktop/####/####.spp'

This is an unrecoverable error as far as I can tell - the entire project is lost.

Trying to apply rows of 'stitches' based on these white stripes and you can see a mock-up of what I'm trying to achieve in the attached image. I've looked everywhere for custom nodes, checked Substance forums, checked Artstation, tried tile sampler, tried pattern distribution map, etc.

Why do the Yebis and Iray renders look so much different than what is expected based on the render previews for a material as they appear on Substance Source.

See below for comparisons

Starting a new thread to compile suggestions for the Substance in 3ds Max plugin - redirecting from Topic: Substance in 3ds Max 2.3.2

A Substance Designer process keeps spinning in the background AFTER the application has been closed(?)

As an aside, I'm sort of dubious about whether the update cadence for SD needs to be so frequent - it seems like there is a minor update at least once a week(?)

Hi, the Substance in 3ds Max plugin (2.3.1) remains almost completely unusable for customers that have paid for access to Substance tools and associated assets for use in external DCC applications and renderers.

These issues have persisted for over six months and are well documented on the forums. Something significant must be done to address these issues and to offer compensation to customers that have repeatedly paid for a service that does not function as advertised.

This situation requires urgent attention can cannot be ignored. I look forward to your immediate response in hopes that the situation does not escalate beyond its already harmful state to the user base.

Can anyone from the Allegorithmic team comment on the future of 16k export within Substance Designer, including confirmation that is completely, technically impossible to export a 16k texture set from Substance Designer 2019.3.0?

I know this request has been around since probably 2015(?)

There is an unofficial implementation available on 3dsky that batch exports texture sets into 3ds max for rendering with Corona. It would be nice if Allegorithmic would offer an official implementation of this sort of bridge that includes similar functionality.

Dear Allegorithmic,

What is the development status of the Substance plugin for 3ds Max 2018+? There appears to be a wide variety of bugs / issues that users have reported - not the least of which concerns visual parity between .sbsar rendering and baked outputs - but I have not seen fixes submitted for many of these issues(?)

Is the plugin being updated to keep pace with newer versions of supported renderers, or is there not a large enough user base to warrant allocating dev time to the plugin?

Cannot produce 8k bitmaps.

Adjusting parent size in a 'relative to parent' substance graph affects base color, roughness, and normal, but not height (displacement) using Phong tessellation (see attached)?
