Hi all,

I'm currently working in house as a freelancer in an established games studio. I own an indie license of Substance Painter and would love to be able to use it. Can I use it in this situation or do I have to request the studio buy a pro license? I'm having to use Quixel at the moment which is so awkward to use :(

Apologies if I've posted this in the wrong location.

Many thanks
Richard

I sincerely hoped that this new update would fix the problem of SD5 being totally unusable, in other words it just crashes when creating a new substance. I reported this with the previous update but had no joy with any previous versions and still have to use SD4. The new version looks awesome.........only wish I could find out for myself. Shame as I love what Allegorithmic are doing and am a huge fan of their products :(

Hi,

I've tried running SD 5 (Windows version 5.5.3.255) which crashes when trying to create a new substance. I've installed all previous versions and they all do the same thing. I've re-installed 5_3_4_build_17162 which previously worked but now crashes when creating a new substance, although I did update my Nvidia driver when trying to get the latest version to work. So now I've had to go back to using SD 4.

My PC specs are:
Window professional 7 (service Pack1)
Intel Core i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67 GHz
6GB RAM
GeForce GTX 650 (Driver version 375.70)

I can't export the log file as SD 5 just crashes and shuts down. Unless there's another way of retrieving the log file?

Thanks

Hi,
I upgraded to the recent version of SD 5.3.4 and was unable to start SD as it crashed when I attempted to create a  new substance. So I uninstalled this and reinstalled SD 5.3.3 which previously worked for me, but now this crashes when the splash screen appears. I'm now left having to use SD 4.

My rig specs are:
GPU: GeForce GTX 650 (driver version 362.00)
CPU: Intel core i7 920@2.67GHz
6 GB RAM
OS: Windows 7 professional

Thanks!

Hi, is it at all possible to merge a Substance Painter file with another one? Also, is it possible to add new meshes to a Substance painter scene?

Here's my first dabble with SP. I really love this program but so wish it had a lazy mouse feature.

Hi all,

I'm loving this program the more I use it, particularly with the recent updates. You're doing an awesome job Allegorithmic!

Apologies if this has already been mentioned by anyone else on the forum, but I wanted to put forward a request that Substance Painter had a lazy mouse feature similar to that in Zbrush - always wanted to see this in Photoshop too! This enables such precision when painting! I'd also love to see masking similar to the way Zbrush handles masking - lasso, rectangular etc. Some way of making rectangular masks freehand and without using a stencil. Or is there a way to do this already?

PS. sorry admin I originally posted this in the wrong section of the forum!

Cheers
