Sorry for the delay it was a busy week :/.
So if i understood correctly, what i would try to do is use the other signal "onExportFinished()" and rename the exported files adding the name of the selected layer.
In onExportFinished(), for each stack exported, get the name of the selected layer (like you do in onExportAboutToStart()), transform the file paths of the exported maps to add the name of the layer, then use the  alg. subprocess module to call the external tool of your platform to move files (MOVE on windows and mv on unix).

Hi, sorry for the delay,

Since the last version of SP, we check the 'Content-type': 'application/json' header for security reason.

If you don't provide this header, teh call will fail and in this case we don;t return a json response ('this may explain your error message').

Can you please post the you complete post request and the complete response you receive from SP please ?

Just to make sure i understand properly. Do you want to export only the content of the selected layer ? Or the whole textureSet ?

Because the hook you use onExportAboutToStart() is called with the textures that are going to be exported from the export dialog. And from this dialog we can't export a single layer, we only export maps that come from the composited layer stack (and textureSet mesh maps).

Unfortunately we can't manipulate the layer stack of Substance Painter from the scripting API yet, so this is not possible.

Hi, i believe you are using the remote scripting capability of Substance Painter.
Can you give me details on the payload you are sending to Painter ?
Can you also tell me if Painter and Maya run on the same computer ?

Hi,

If i understand correctly you want to specify a new keyword for our export template from the scripting API. If so, this is not possible.

Can you give me details on your use case to see if i can propose an alternative ?

Can you also tell me which scripting API you are using ? JS or Python ?

Hi guys,

we do not provide a separate SDK for substance painter so you can't use the substance_painter module outside of Painter.

Hi, it seems that Substance Designer is detected twice on your Desktop (Both detected instances are on the same computer Addison@DESKTOP-70Q6803).

This shouldn't be possible. Do you have a particular network configuration on your desktop ? Like are you using a VPN or do you have multiple network card on your desktop ?

We have some issues with our license key download system from our software at the moment. You can login on our website and download your license key manually from you account.
