What substance were you using when it crashed? If I understand correctly, does it crash when you adjust a parameter in the substance?

Whenever you get around to building that repro project, send it to me so we can take a closer look. In the meantime, we'll look into it more on our end. I'm sorry I don't have any answers for you, but as you said, this seems to be a tricky crash.  :(

Talked to Dan about it and he said we currently have a ticket in for exposing substance graph instance and other substance classes containing blueprints to the C++ API. He says this should actually be a fairly quick change on our part.  :)

And as for the callback, there is. The call backs are handled through the Substance Callback class. These callbacks handle storing the results for the plugin update to grab and apply.

The set input blueprint nodes are available from a graph instance for the various data types. As for the Async call, thank you for pointing this out and we will make this change. As always, thank you for the feedback. It is greatly appreciated. :)

I took a look at the substance you sent me and it does indeed crash Unreal on Linux while changing resolutions. I'll put in a bug for this in our bug tracker. Sorry for the inconvenience this causes.  :-\

I recall this was an issue with older versions of Unreal (not related to Substance). Have you tried right clicking on your layers in the landscape paint tab and choosing Fill?

I think if you also assign the landscape material prior to creating the landscape then it will automatically fill it for you.

I just imported the RockyGround.sbsar and changed the output size with no issue (on Windows). I'll take a look at this on Linux today. Can you upload the crash logs you are receiving?

Unfortunately, we don't do back-porting of newer changes to older releases. The latest plugin (in this case 4.15, with the fix) will only work with 4.15. The versions need to be matched.

Ahh I see. This is a known issue with our plugin and Houdini (and assigning the substance at an obj level). If you assign the substance using a material node then the substance will render correctly. The shopnet includes a substance node with the substance loaded into it. The shop is then assigned via the material node. You may also have to click the blue button on the material node to set the render/display flags. I also used a uvtexture node and set the texture type to 'face'.
