I am having trouble understanding the correct integration of textures outputted from Substance Painter for Unity.
If I'm not mistaken Unity's URP workflow requires Metallic Occlusion Smoothness to be channel packed as follows:
Red = Metallic
Green = Occlusion
Blue = None
Alpha = Smoothness

Substance Painter offers a template Unity URP Pipeline (Metallic Standard) which I presume to be the correct preset to use but it doesn't seem to implement Occlusion or smoothness.

Is there a step I am missing?
Any help would be appreciated.

I am trying to download substance materials from Source but whenever I click the icon to send the material, it opens a new Painter window. I have replied to another thread in the past about the same problem but never received a reply so I am opening a new thread.
I was using the Source button inside of Painter for a while until it started not loading materials any more (I guess it's deprecated or something now?)

I am on the newest version of Substance Painter and Source.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have been experiencing the same problem, but using Substance Source instead opens up a new Substance Painter tab on each material downloaded.
I'm using the latest versions of both Substance Painter and Source.

I recently installed the latest Substance Painter and noticed the output template for Unity, used to be called "Unity 5 Standard Metallic (or Specular)", is no longer there and there are only the options for "Unity HD Render Pipeline" and "Unity Universal Pipeline'.

I was wondering why these are not there any more and also what output template is recommended for a "Standard" texture setup for Unity (not HDRP or LWRP (Universal Render Pipeline)).

Thanks in advance.

I'm trying to use the Substance plugin with Unity version 2019.1.6f1 but am encountering a problem where on 'Play' any imported materials are broken and Unity spits out the error message:
 'Assets/Materials/paper_glossy.sbsar: Built-in support for Substance Designer materials has been removed from Unity. To continue using Substance Designer materials, you will need to install Allegorithmic's external importer from the Asset Store.
I am using the external importer from the Asset Store and have tried with a new project from scratch, but no matter what I do no material is useable.

Any help would be appreciated.
