last one my favorite painting app where only Nvidia Users get all Features

A Question from me, when this Beta tests ends ? what should i do with such free deformed Meshes ?
Paint ? if you mean that the imported Models looks near the original than take a look at the imported UV mapping
that is a hundred times better than the mesh self

I delete V2 now and hope i can download older Version in my Account, you can send me some Mail
if your Payed open Beta is at end and your Product works as a minimum like V1 that do.

Hi

did you have a CUDA enabled GPU (Nvidia Graphic Card) ?
if not you loose hole Iray Features you will render all with CPU than and without
any acceleration.
If you have not a Nvidia GPU and your Hardware allows a change of GPU hardware
put the Price of Painter and the Price of a new Graphic Card together than ask you self
if you will do that.
If you have a Cuda compatible GPU Painter was a good solution, but if you sometime
planing chance your Hardware don´t forget new one must have a Nvidia graphic Card ;-)

i try sending a complete Bug report but that doses´t work it have no effect click the send button
and i found out why it not work here a sample from your Logfiles before you read i told it to you

Your Render Engine needs CUDA drivers and Cuda is for Nvidia GPU only no other GPU will work
with your Render Engine you not believe me here your own Logfile:

Now it is your Turn, you make a technique in your App that only Users with Nvidia GPU can use
hole others must use CPU there is absolutely nothing else you can do than make a Render Engine in your App that work with more than one GPU Seller like Nvidia in my Eyes that is a complete rewrite of your Code.

For me the result was i use it with CPU or i use a App that can handle my GPU too and believe me
i am not alone not everybody have a Nvidia Card in his System all new Mac Books have AMD GPus

I see the Post today that you make the price a bit down that will be ok for all Users that can use full Functionality
of your App and what doc the other 50 % with AMD/ATI GPU ?

For me your Render Engine will never work there are no CUDA drivers for AMD/ATI GPU´s

Without a accelerator and CPU only what will be the Update Price here ?

on my Mac Book Pro (a new one 2 weeks old biggest one in Store)
i have no GPU iray Settings and a click to start render crashes your hole App
Screen Refresh with your own sample give me full broken View sometime i see the head but
not the body other time the body without arms and so far.

The Update Price and the .1 behind the 2 told me that you fix some Problems very fast but i be no Beta tester
i pay for your App and i pay in my eyes too much for what i get.

If you want earn Money like Professionals you must act like them and testing a actual Mac was such a thing
before you get angry Users

As a Tip from me actual Mac Books have a Ati graphic Card and for me hole Iray is not working and bring your App crashing
If you can fit that fast as possible no problem otherwise tell me please how i can get my Money back

some News about Modo 801 support ?
i have no moved out all Substances´s from my Modo Scenes (i use 801) and replaced the
Substance with bitmap2Material Maps and put more energy to painter than i hope getting substance back working
in Modo.

And maybe 901 will break the Plugin again looks like Modo have not a stable API for plugin development.

Hi Roland,

Yes, we have an update in progress. The new architecture in 801 broke the plugin and instead of simply patching, the devs are building a new more robust version.

We will have more information soon. We are sorry for this inconvenience. Rest assured, support for 801 is coming and it will be a much better workflow.

We had an issue with the compilation of the Mac build for today's release. It will be available beginning of next week.
The development stays exactly the same on both platforms :)

than you must use different Update config Files my Painter always told me to download 8.2xxx but there is no new
version it looks that you use for both version same Update mechanism and that mechanism only looks in a config
file or something else and if you update or compile a new build this config was updated but don´t know about Issue
in on of your Builds.

that is a Folder for Import / export to exchange between Painter and 3d Apps like Modo
or Maya.

the only nodal material system what i can handle is that from cheetah3d ;-) my skills are not
good enough for modo´s own nodal system (i learn hole live i learn ) so i don´t own designer that would be the third Nodal shader to learn than.
my hope was that now with modo 801 and the new nodal material system that someone have made a preset material that have all maps from painter included .
Maybe i not understand the disney shader but normally i think i have five or more maps every map have
some information and it should not be a problem with a nodal material system to recreate same output
the export from painter are texture maps and not a shader these maps are a calculated view of the shaders output i am sure that a user with enough skills in modo´s nodal material system can make a material that can use the painter output.
Physically based shader are only physically when shader display it but all physic is away after export , than you have only a few maps with light , color normal ... Information in exported maps are no physic no image format can transport that ;-) so the rest is light, normal, color ,vector,and so far.

But i believe that the best way was if modo can handle such shader model.

looks very good now the crashes at loading own meshes are dramatically reduced now.
After some tests i can now start using the Painter App with own meshes and spend more time to learn
the last one was for me not usable but this version looks much better.

for me this was a good step forward my last and only problem now was to make a shader for modo where i can use all exported maps from painter did someone here have some preset materials for mode i would be happy if i can get it

i purchased Painter some Time ago, normally i use Modo and Bitmap2material since Substrate Plugin was unusable in 801.
So my Idea was using painter for my Workflow, but what i get for my Money was at this early Beta not really usable, Crashes are the smallest Problems.

Now i look some Time here in this Forum to get some Information, like known Bugs, Time for next beta and so far.

looks like Information is not really best practice at algorithmic .
