These are not real specific answers, but based on general reading of hardware review (analysis) sites, here are my thoughts...

RAM - "Standard" memory speeds are fine.  When you try to get extra-fast memory, the cost increases a lot, but the real-world benefits range from small to miniscule.  So unless you buy low-end memory, frequency-vs-timings is an interesting tehcnial research puzzle, but really doesn't matter.

CPU - That depends on the software you use.  Are your favorite applications well multi-threaded or single (or dual) threaded?  I'm a bit of an Intel fan, but not a rabid fanboy.  I have to admit the AMD Threadripper CPUs can deliver some stunning performance at a good price.  For Substance Painter and Designer, the GPU is 90% of the answer, and with a 2080Ti you'll be in great shape regardless of which of the two CPUs you select.

I will point you to my favorite hardware review site:
What I like is they are very big on actual data, which they keep pretty much separate from their opinions.  They are not just an "unboxing" review type of place.  In the top banner, there is a link to "Bench" were you can pull up benchmark results for CPUs, GPUs, and more.  And you can pick two products for side-by-side comparisons.

I really love his back.

One part looks a bit off to me, just above his right wrist and forearm (1st and 3rd image).  It looks like vertical wrinkles in the ball itself.  Maybe it's just the way it looks in that particular perspective.

Really nice work.  I really love the second picture especially.  It really showcases your painting nicely.

I think my favorite part is the excessively heavy coating of green paint, best seen in the 6th image (3rd from the bottom).  That looks so real, you can almost feel it.

A heightmap shows the difference in height between the low poly and high poly. Since the low poly has sharp edges, the inverse of these edges will appear in your heightmap. So these results are correct.

I'm not sure I understand the Amazon box characters, but it's nicely done and it's very sweet.  :)

Excellent modeling and very nice painting.

An awesome start!  Several good details.  I really like the "plug" area for the amp cord.

Suggestion:  I'd like to see some "aging" on the white plastic parts, too.  That would be more consistent with the scratches on the wood.  Not just generic scuffs, but think about where dirt will collect in crevices, and how raised areas get rubbed.  Also consider where the hand rests and rubs while playing, and how the dirt and oils will affect the color and roughness in those areas.

Well, okay now... "Gumbo" (the hollow version) should be made out of hammered bronze sheet metal, and he would make a great 6-foot (2-meter) tall piece of art, suitable for a public outdoor space or maybe the lobby of an office building.  That would be cool.
