Hello,

To use the Launcher correctly you need to whitelist all *.substance3d.com subdomain.
If that's not enough to bypass your corporate proxy here are the latest download link (our latests soft versions are sadly not compatible anymore with Launcher feature such as Send to FYI)

Painter : https://download.substance3d.com/adobe-substance-3d-painter/7.x/Adobe_Substance_3D_Painter-7.2.0-1103-msvc14-x64-standard.exe

Designer : https://download.substance3d.com/adobe-substance-3d-designer/11.x/Adobe_Substance_3D_Designer-11.2.0-4869-msvc14-x64-standard.exe

Alchemist (becoming "Sampler") : https://download.substance3d.com/adobe-substance-3d-sampler/3.x/Adobe_Substance_3D_Sampler-3.0.0-rc.4-92-msvc14-x64-standard-Release-21c4e279.exe

If you are evaluating our soft you can already do so directly from Adobe website from now on (with Creative Cloud Desktop application) :

Hello slinkous,

I have to check again but as far as I know we do not support Arch Linux distributions, only CentOS
Not by choice but having a soft working on several kind of distributions was harder than we first expected and we had to make a choice

Hello Jochen,

We don't have IP ranges to provide but to allow full access to the Launcher you just want to make sure *.substance3d.com sub-domains are all whitelisted

Hope this helped

Substance LauncherSubstance Launcher - Discussions - Re: Endless login loop
 on: February 26, 2021, 03:30:09 pm
Hi,

You want to make sure your password is correct by using it in store.substance3d.com .

If you've just changed your password you also want to make sure to wait a few minutes before using the new one in the Launcher
Our platforms may take a few minutes to sync all our database.
Usually everything goes fine but if you had some issue it may be due to some sync latency between our services ^^

If you still have the issue you can also share your logs file with us so we can investigate futher
To do so just click in the upper right corner of the Launcher on your username, and select Export log

Then share the generated logfile with us.

Hopefully this should help us understanding why you have this specific issue

Hi Bruce,

Sorry for the late answer !
For your first question there is no easy way yet for you to check this on the launcher... You can use the website to have a clearer display of the asset you own ( source.substance3d.com )
And for your second question when you spend a point to buy an asset the asset will be owned by you once and for all
Meaning you won't spend another point to download it. You download it as much as you want ;)

This is why when you click on a asset you have a contextual button : Purchase (if you don't own the asset), Download (if you already own the asset). In fact this is a way for you to know if you own the asset or not (but not that user friendly neither because you have to click on the asset you are interested in)

Let me know if you need more help on this

Hi 3Dhedgehod,

All download links should now work again as expected :)

7
Hi,

Just an answer from the Kapersky support team, they are investigating on this issue
And for the download link they are now restored, everything should work as expected from now on :) !

8
Hi all,

Thanks for this information.
We will investigate on this and try to understand what changed on Kapersky to trigger this behaviour !

9
Hi all,

Sorry for the late answer but we had some issue for a moment with our download links
Should now be completely solved !

Hi,

Sadly we don't support Ubuntu for the Launcher, only CentOS

That's why you may encounter issues while using the launcher on Ubuntu... !

First, if I signed in why do I need to verify to post?
Two, this is the most short sighted and insulting reply any company could make, there are vast more people who use Ubuntu, so why not support it?

For you first point "why do I need to verify to post" not sure to understand what you mean
Are you talking about posting on this forum ? The workflow we have in place to verify users may not be perfectly up to date I agree with you but I guess this is a way to avoid flood/spam ^^

For your second point I did not mean to be insulting, the point of my answer was to help by exposing the fact : we do not support Ubuntu sadly
This is not on purpose, supporting Ubuntu/Debian and other Linux distribution meant an amount of work too important. We've tried, spent some time and failed
In the end we chose to focus on key features and stability on the product before

Glad you found a way to install the soft using the Launcher as an intermediate.
This solution may work for now but at some point the Launcher could not run at all on Ubuntu (since we don't support it, we don't test it ...)

The other way would be to go on store.substance3d.com and directly download the soft from there

Hope this helps ^^

Hi,
I suppose you are also Jello on our Discord server
Just answered back to you on Discord ( https://discord.com/channels/179919948569640960/549600461255213056/778162834713608193 )
Never heard of such a data consumption with the Launcher (at least unwillingly), feel free to share your logs with us so we can investigate on this
Thanks :)

Hello,

Indeed first time I am noticed this kind of behaviour, so far we always had a good detection of the installation of the soft

Could you please export your logs so we may find some explanation of this behaviour ?
To do so click on your username in the upper right corner of the Launcher and select Export log
Then simply share the log file generated here

Thanks for your help

Sadly not
So far most of the time the issue was due to those launcher leftover's in the Registry.
You could also try using some specific registry cleaner such as CCleaner. Still be careful with the use of this kind of tool when you clean the registry since it can break a few things on the way. Nevertheless most of the time everything just goes fine.
It may be able to clean those leftovers from uninstalled app

Windows can behave in an erratic way from time to time and those Window's default installer/uninstaller we use can't allow us to debug those kind of very specific issues ... (no logs you can export or share with us, no error code, ...)

Hi Harpyen,

Sorry for the late answer

Not being able to install Substance Launcher can be due to several issues.
The main one is when you "re"install it : if not uninstalled properly there can still be a substance launcher still hidden somewhere in the Registry.
I invite you to access your Windows Registry and try to find if anywhere there still is a Launcher hidden ...

Most of users complaints about not being able to reinstall was due to this. Windows can sadly be a pain to use sometimes and this default Windows wizard/installer just freezing is not very helpful -_-' !
