OK, so it looks like if you don't have a current subscription (which I don't) then accrued unspent points have to be used by June 2022 - so I have a year or so ?

What about Substance Player ? is this now defunct ? Can I still use it to open current and future .SBSAR's ?

Or are the 341 Substance Source points useless now as I have no way of opening them, let alone change parameters ?

This is quite worrying to me...

Hey guys

I've noticed recently that using 'recently bought' option to view owned assets, doesn't work correctly.

Well, to be honest, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't - but when it does work it seems to order them older first, whcih is a bit weird as I'm 99% sure that when I viewed last week, newest items were at the top.

Can you please get a dev to look at this please

Thanks

John

Hey Guys

Can existing points on SS be used to purchase the new models and environments or is this a purchase a new subscription type deal ?

Thanks

Content - Substance Source - Weak search system.
 on: March 25, 2021, 09:21:31 pm
Hey Guys,

I'm loving the recent SS drop, lots of fantastic materials, I just wish I could search through them better.

Clicking on the 'new items' list just gives me a mind-numbingly huge list that I just have to scroll through ad infititum. It's just tedious - and the fact that you cannot search by type/colour etc is just puzzling.

Then after these new materials have aged a bit, they then just get dumped into their respective categories. unsearchable, forever...

The same goes for the other categories, just endless lists that cannot be searched in any meaningful way.

Please implement a decent search facility

I can't be the only one who thinks this...

Hi

Just see the attached screendump, when I go to download the assets, I see 'Protected' rather than 'Download'

Is that something to worry about ?

Thanks

Content - Substance Source - Feature request

Hi

Do you guys have any idea if you are going to implement the ability to see a map layout for each material ? by that I mean be able to see albedo/normal/roughness.

They were originally part of the image slider which was perfect, then you moved it to the Cloud Player, which was rubbish but better than nothing, then that disappeared.

Now I see the Cloud Player has made a return, yet clicking on 'maps' does nothing but show a flat preview of the composite material ?!!

You need to let people see what substances are made of before they purchase them - surely you guys must agree ?

Content - Substance Source - 'My Assets' - incorrect !!
 on: March 11, 2020, 10:44:54 pm
Since you've updated the SS website, I only see the last 20 assets that I have downloaded.

In reality, I have downloaded many, many more than that.

And just to be clear, all the search descriptors at the top are set to 'all'...

Come on Allegorithmic, this shouldn't be happening... it's just pathetic.

Hey Guys,

For a couple of days now I've noticed that the blue information footer that appears when a material is clicked has disappeared.

The footer displays the file name, associated search terms, whether it's scanned or procedural, size in meters and most importantly download options. Meaning, it's again impossible to download an .sbs.

This is happening in multiple browsers (Chrome/Firefox/Opera)

Surely this is a website bug ? If so , can you please fix it ASAP.

See attached screenshot

Thanks

Just want to say thanks for the last two main material drops, namely the Architecture ones and the recent scans.

They are very high quality, keep it up.

Hey Guys,

This is not a complaint, simply a question ;)

Any idea when the next source drop is ?

The blogspot here https://www.substance3d.com/blog/here-are-big-announcements-substance-day-siggraph-2019 indicated a few weeks from July 29th...

Really excited to see these materials - any idea how close it is please ?

Thanks

John

My Substance Source points normally get added on or around the 15th of every month.

Any ideas why they haven't ben added this month ?

Thanks

Hi

I'd like to start by saying I love SS, but I'm noticing a definite slowdown in material releases lately.

I think I read somewhere when SS first came online that new materials were going to be released every month, but at the moment it feels a lot longer than that, 2 months even...

Also, could you please add back in the fuctionality to view downloaded sources by their download date, this was possible then it just disappeared, why ?! It makes complete sense to view my own downloads in that order. It's honestly batshit crazy not to be able to do that !!!!!

Also, could you implement a way to download thumbnail images of owned materials as well, at the moment I have to take multiple screenshots from the website which is so annoying, to say the least.

I'm not sure if anyone has asked this before, I did a quick search and couldn't find anything...

Have you guys thought about implementing a shell extension for .sbsars/.sbs's so that we could see thumbnails in Windows ?

It would make life a whole lot easier. As it is now I have to create a preview image and save it with the .sbsar.

Surely I can't be the only one who thinks this is a good idea ;)

Hey

Went to login to Substance Source and the site's reporting my password is incorrect.

Changed my password successfully, still the same, cannot log in.

Having no issues on other sites - can you advise please

**edit**

Tried to change my password again - and now the reset password link provided by yourselves takes me to the root of Allegorithmic's site

What gives !!

Thanks

John
