I did, thank you!

And 4.12 is now on github:

Hello All,

The Substance Plugin has been updated and released on GitHub. The Marketplace plugin should be updated soon, so keep your eyes open!
Github Link:
If you have 404 errors using Github:

This is a maintenance release meant to be compatible with 4.12

Hi All,

I normally do my best to update the github release ASAP. Epic Games released 4.12 while I was on vacation and unable to work on the plugin. I am working on it now and we'll have a build sent to Epic and posted on Github within the next day or so. Thanks for your patience and I apologize for the delay!

Hi joyscp,

We provide plugin sources on github, just select the 4.10 branch and download/branch from there.

If you get a 404 error go here:

Hi Techie,

Thanks for the feedback, it's much appreciated!

1) The timing raise is likely because the substance node uses a GLSL shader.
2) This is a known regression we will be fixing soon
3) Also a known regression to be fixed soon

Hi marc,

The COP node is definitely on our radar, as well as the bug with the refresh viewport. That was working up uintil release so I hope it's just an easy thing to fix and push to you and the other users :)

Hi vincent_van_gogh,

In DOcuments/Houdini15.5/dso/Substance there are a few config files. This is where it selects the Principled.cfg for the Principled shader, and you can manipulate that or create your own. It's not super friendly right now, but the idea would be that you'd want to render your shader to an ifd file, so you can view the "shader command" , and then you can build a cfg file that will create a similar command with the substance information.

Hi marcoman,

The plugin is only supported on 15.5

For windows we have a self installing .exe , and mac it's similar (.dmg)

For linux you extract the tar.gz file, and run the script contained within. It will copy the plugin to the appropriate location.

Hi grayolorin,

Feedback at any time is appreciated :)

While we update the website, please find a direct link here:

You'll need to unzip the file and run the archive for your platform (win/mac/lin)

Hi 2df.brunet,

Would it be possible to email the .sbs and .sbsar to ?

Hi rfellers,

It should only be when you add the plugin the first time. If you're changing data it should be fine to just package the project.

Hi johnfg12,

The 4.11 plugin should be compatible with 4.11.2. Are you having issues getting it to run?

Hi guillaume,

That's indeed a good idea. I've added it to the feature request list :)
