...even though Alchemist did not crash upon closing as it is telling me, and even though I should not have to use the Activation Wizard because the Allegorithmic site indicates that I'm current on my subscription.  Baptiste, please help me get past this issue quickly.  I am in heavy production with Alchemist right now and can't even open it.  Thanks.

Baptiste, I'm trying to achieve a 2-color/2-roughness value brick look (like the attached image) using the Brickwall Pattern in Alchemist.  I feel like this should be fairly easy, but I'm not succeeding.  Is there a way to get this look using the Brickwall Pattern or some other method?  Thanks in advance for your guidance!

I'm busy working with the Brickwall Pattern filter and am wondering if it's still possible to have access to some of the Brickwall Pattern features demoed in the second video found on the following page?:

Specifically, I'm interested in the Mix settings that allow for varying the brick types.  I'm also interested in the Cement Disorder, Brick Unstuck, Brick Color Variation, and Brick Dirtiness options.  These features appear to be missing in 2020.2.1.  Am I somehow overlooking them?  If not, do you know which of the previous Alchemist versions contained these features?  And is it possible to run multiple versions of Alchemist on my PC without deleting one, then installing the other?

If it's possible, I would enjoy working with a layer/filter that could add iridescence to materials, such as glass, water, and bubbles.  Thanks!

Gang, I would love to see a layer/filter that allows the user to add tiny flecks of mica to materials, such as stone, snow, and sand.  This way, when light passes over a material, the flecks would illuminate the way snow, sand, and certain stones do.

I'm experiencing a bug where I output 4K maps from Alchemist, but the AO maps often output as 2K.  I've attached a video showing what's happening.  If the video size is too big to send via this forum, I'll send it via email to Baptiste instead.

Does anyone know if it's possible to rotate a material in Alchemist?  I'd like to be able to rotate both Source material layers and Base material layers 90, 180, and 270 degrees.  Thanks!

I just updated to the latest version of C4D (R21.115) and the latest version of Redshift (2.6.50) and now when I open scenes created in previous iterations of R21, none of the Substance materials load.  It's as though Cinema has lost its connection to the Substances.  When I open the Redshift Shader Graph to view a material, I can see that the Substance maps are missing and the material preview is red.  In the Redshift Feedback Display, I see "Material RS granite_rock_mossy is not valid."  Below that, I see several "Could not bake shader" errors.

Does anybody know why this is happening and if there is a way to re-connect the maps to the already created Redshift/Substance materials?

It's worth noting that I've experienced this exact same problem with previous versions of Cinema, but I never had time to report the issue.

Upon opening 2019.1.1, I tried to link to a local folder of Source materials and the program crashed.  Log file was sent via email.

On the Substance Source page, many individual materials display 4 variations.  When in Alchemist, I can see the variations when in the Explore tab, but I don't see a way to access the variations when working in the Create tab.  Does anyone know how to access all of the variations?  Thanks.

Does anyone know why Alchemist uses such a huge amount of RAM?  On my Windows 10 PC with 64 GBs of memory, Alchemist running alone under heavy use can sometimes chew up nearly 60 GBs of memory.  Any thoughts/solutions?  Thanks!

Substance Alchemist - Discussions - Paint Filter in Alchemist

When I apply the paint filter in Alchemist on top of all shiny metals (and all other flat surfaces without relief), the paint has a dirty appearance with noticeable seam lines in whatever is causing the dirt.  I've tried everything I can possibly think of to eliminate this dirty appearance, but can't find a solution.  Is anyone else experiencing this?  Does anybody know of a solution?  Thanks!

Is anybody else experiencing extremely slow launch speeds for Alchemist?  When I open the program on my Windows 10 PC, it usually takes between 1 and 2 minutes to open.  I'm wondering if this is normal?

Does anybody know if there is a way to control the amount/quality of JPEG compression in Alchemist?  Thanks!
