I just ran into the same issue, the only way to include an alpha in the exported textures is to use the " document channels + Normal + AO (with alpha)" template. Anything else seems to fail, even though alpha is activated.

But even then the "Opengl_Normal" channel has no alpha.

Any news on this bug that seems to have been around for a while it seems ?

Yes, currently the layer and group hierarchy is very hard to read when it’s all one big row. Some kind of visual cue that is more obvious as to what layer belongs to what group would be a huge improvement.

Yes please. Seems a little strange the way it currently works.

Yes, I ran into that issue a few times as well.

Maybe an idea to add more fill options for the polygon/triangle fill tool ? The current drag box feels a little limited for an app like Substance Painter.

Like a lasso fill, a polygon loop etc.

It’s very hard to see which layers are actually inside of a group, and where the content of a group stops when it is uncollapsed. It’s all one long vertical row with no visual cue as to what’s inside, and what’s not.

Currently the only way to check where the contents of a group stops, is to look where the next group starts.

Maybe an idea to give the layers that are inside of an uncollapsed group a different color. Or maybe even better, to inset what’s inside of a group a few pixels to the right ? Like most other software that works with groups or folders like this.

Substance PainterSubstance Painter - Feature Requests - Color Copy+Paste

Please add the possibility to copy / paste colors in the color panel. Or at least the possibility to store colors in a something like a color swatch.

Currently the only way to copy a color from one material to another seems to either remember the color values, or write them down. That's just silly.

To be honest it's ridiculous an app like Substance has such a basic outdated color panel.
