Yes. When you purchase a product or when you are a Substance Live subscriber you get access to it for all supported platforms. If you get say SD5 then you'll get Windows and Mac versions of the program as they are as of now the only supported platforms. I reckon this will be the same when the Linux port eventually rolls out.

Thanks Cyrille for your update. In my humble opinion, for those of us who really want to see Substance tools coming to linux, the supported distribution(s) is not really a roadblock.

I understand that adding a new supported OS may represent more work and resources involved, but I do think it's worth it. It would be a shame to deprive the linux community from such an awesome set of tools ! Keep up the good work  ;)

Thanks Fabian and Nicolas for the quick answer. I thought you could benefit from your Mac OS X build to help port the software packages to Linux, but then again there are many distros out there ...
You may want to consider porting SD or SP for a specific mainstream distribution (which runs steam). I hear since steam OS has been announced they have been heavily working on GPU performances.

Now that Substance Painter has reached final release, can we expect a linux version any time soon ?

I have been reading words from developpers talking about it here and there :

Hello,

I have been messing with Substance Designer for almost a month now and recently I came across a weird issue with my UVs and Substance.

First I have created a new graph and a base metal texture by combining noises and uniform color.

The thing is, when I then apply this procedural material to my mesh a thin black line appear near the UV edge but not everywhere...



Do you guys happen to know where the problem is coming from ?

It's really irritating.

I have being experimenting a little bit with the settings, and here what I came up with.
I am sure I can improve it further.



Could you please tell me which applications are compatible with linux, because Steam does not allow me to install any of your software ?

I was wondering if I could take advantage of the power of B2M in my workflow in Blender ? If yes with which render engine ? If no, are you planning to make it possible in the near future ?
