Substance DesignerSubstance Designer - Discussions - Hand Draw?

I'm trying to remember what it was I use, maybe an svg or something else but I remember being able to use a node that I could draw by hand.

Any idea what it is?

Trying to make a material mimicking a Paint Brush circular motion. It's for painting eyes on a wooden puppet. Example ...

Substance DesignerSubstance Designer - Discussions - Sbsar manager ?
 on: July 03, 2020, 06:22:29 pm
I've been downloading from Substance Source and have a folder with all dl Sbsar's, however it's a problem knowing what they are without loading in Designer or re-finding on Source. Is there an easier way to manage them including previews?

I've seen lots of circular paving patterns in SD searching Google, however the only graph images are too small to see and tried YouTube but strangely nothing. I get the Circular Splatter node but can't figure the masking to make the fan shape ?

Having trouble with matching the texture to my uv's. The best fit ends up curved (see image), so wondering in SD 5 is there any way to bend the texture ?

No not Monsters Inc, but could be. :-)

It's Anim / Photo realistic render. The trouble is I doubt I can come close due to not being able to output more than 2048, unless I can sort out the UV space to accommodate.

Once again thanks for the help.

Thanks, take all the time you need. Meanwhile I'm coming close to a reasonable result mainly using the tile sampler node, although 1 snag at the moment is not being able to go above 2048 or everything still freezes. Also might need to recreate the UV's.

The reference image is very low res so bit hard to work out the stitching pattern. Any ideas ?

Yes, not accurate but probably do. How did you do it ?

Also found these ...

Probably have to make the material myself.

Yes knitted in. The reference image I already posted, It's not very clear but looking at the front there is a picture and can see the edges are not solid they are jagged according to the knit.

Not exactly. The edges are solid outline, doesn't look as if it's part of the fabric.

Trying to learn how to make some fabric from a source image and not easy to do. Main problem is how to go about stitching a logo into the fabric ?

I tried downloading fabric from Source which looks nice but even harder to make it look as if the logo is stitched in.

Thanks seems to work ok.

Still using Designer 5.2.1 due to graphical errors on my iMac's behalf. I can set the graph size to be 4096 however all nodes won't go above 2048 ?
