Hello,

I am in the process of creating a boiler template for tile with presets for grout in there, and whenever I change the grout to a new preset the grout goes on to the bevel of the tile.

Please advise if there is a way to get the tile finish on to the bevel of the tile and not the grout.

I am creating a master manufacture's grout material and want to have all of the (40) colors as presets for bringing in to UE4 as (1) material where colors could be swapped out during real time rendering, and I am not sure if this is doable in SD?

Hello,

I have a material blend of (2) combined full materials, and when I go to export bitmaps I am getting both material's maps, and I only want the final combined singular output maps of the material blend. 

Please see attached and advise best way to get the final combined output maps.

Thanks in advance for any help with this.

Every time I zoom out of the graph, the text gets really large making it difficult to navigate.
I really would like the text to remain the same size, so I can clearly see all my framed connections
better.

Thanks in advance on best approach to combine (3) full materials into one.
Materials are:

1. Ceramic Tile Texture Only: to go in the foreground of the tile shape.
2. Is the shape of the tile: has foreground and background temporary colors. 
3. Is the grout: to go in the background of tile shape.

The goal is to build a library of separate full materials that consist of shapes, textures and backgrounds then combining them into one material.

I have (2) sbsar materials and I want to put the sbsar grout in the grout of the .sbsar ceramic tile material.
Can Alchemist combine logically both .sbsar materials?

Thanks in advance if there is a way to add gloss overlay coating to the ceramic tile ONLY in the attached exported sbsar from SD while maintaining a metallic rough pbr material.  Please note that I used the Alchemist Template in SD when
re-creating the ceramic tile shapes.  Please note I was not going for a full material in SD only the shapes and some base parameters to see how they carry over and work in Alchemist.  Thoughts are to do more work in SD in terms of grout etc...,

In addition, is there any way to add extra textures to the color variations separately.  I would want the ceramic to be glossy and the grout to be granular.  The issue is when I use the floor tile is that this material is not a tileable material as it does not come in sheets and would be installed piece by piece.  I don't know if there is a way to use the floor tile and get rid of the tiling?  It would be fantastic if I could use the floor tile and set the tile to none.

Hello,

When using the Alchemist template in SD, the 3d view cube disappears when selecting metallic roughness tessellation under material edit.  It does show up in other selections and some of them the cube becomes transparent.

Please advise if I need to set the default material edit to something special when using the Alchemist template filter in SD.

In addition, I use direct x and the render engine by default is opengl, won't this mix stuff up when I go to export maps to 3ds max?

The goal is to use my substance designer exported sbsar files in Alchemist, 3ds Max, and UE4.  I noticed after exporting a sbsar file into Alchemist the layers did not carry over. After drilling through threads, I read that there is an Alchemist filter template - so now I am wondering if using the Alchemist filter for templates in SD, if the exported sbsar files are also good in UE4 and 3ds Max?

After creating an Alchemist template .sbs file for publishing sbsar to import into Alchemist, what is the method? Is it the same as importing a bitmap into Alchemist?  Are there any tutorials Specific to the using the alchemist template in SD and importing into Alchemist?

By any chance is there a way to convert existing metal rough .sbs files into the Alchemist filter template?
Otherwise all of my original.sbsar files that were created in the metal rough templates are useless in Alchemist - other than extracting the maps for custom use.

Thanks in advance for help on the use of the tile sampler.  I have a pattern of (4) rotated shapes and instead of using the transform etc..., I thought the better node with more flexibility and easy scaling would be the tile sampler?  I have inserted each pattern and working on them individually does not seem to work exactly.  the (1) video I found I see the tile sampler in multiple to get patterns correctly. 

Please advise, if the method is to use multiple tile patterns to get these (4) shapes in place can be done with (1) tile sampler, or if I need more? 

Please see attached showing the 4 shapes plugged in to pattern 1 through 4.  Again, not sure if I need more tile samplers to get the Complete pattern?

Thanks in advance on best way to achieve this shape using shape node or inside tile sampler somehow?
The singular shape is what I am after.  the size of the shape is:  5 5/16" x 4 11/ 16"

Update:  Please see attached and advise on how to get the top left and right background shape to finalize shape.
I have tried to reverse circle, and I wanted to try to use original circle if possible somehow in the sea of nodes?

I got it finally, and any recommendations on better way to achieve this shape is welcomed.

Hello,

Sometimes when I am moving my node graph around, I end up dragging it very far away from the main graphs.
I use the zoom tool, and I still struggle to get the framed lost graph back near the others when I zoom in - it takes too much time to drag it back.

Please advise if there is some simple way to get a framed graph back where it was besides undo?

Hello,

I just downloaded extra grunge maps from Substance Share, then i added the folder to the project paths library and now I noticed that the grunge maps from 001 to I think To 015 I have doubles.  These maps are different grunge maps with the same name.  Will this present problems?  A few of the thumbnails need to be regenerated also. I am ok keeping both as long as there is no issue.  It would also seem that the names would be different somehow on the substance share platform?

Is it possible to take an image be it tile or a rug, and somehow clean it up where the lines and edges could be clear and the switching of colors could be controlled in the pattern?

I am searching for a way to quickly create real world manufacture materials using existing patterns and swap out colors in the patterns in an exact way.  I have not used Alchemist enough to know if this can be done?

Please see attached.  I have tried a few images quickly and the colors and lines are messy.  Maybe there are steps to achieve this and if not I will go back to SD.

Yesterday I set a tiled material in SD and went to the global Edit material to set the UV to True then I exported maps hoping to get a more predictable results in the UVW mapping in 3ds Max, and ironically it rendered fine the day before then today it's out of scale. Is this a SD issue? 

Is the above the correct way to get a SD material as close as possible to Use Real World Scale in 3ds Max?

Please note that I used a SD graph that was copied into my New Material and every time I go to reopen the same material where I change the UV to True and reset the tile in the Edit Material - the changes do not keep and it goes back to default - why?  I thought I could reuse SD graphs to create my own materials, and I don't understand why the UV keeps resetting back to default?  Please see attached (2) more images of edited UV material to true.
