It used to look alright but from a few weeks it is like on a screenshot. What's going on guys? Is it somehow my fault or common problem with painter?

I work on two monitors, like most of us, and it is normal for me having all the panels on the secondary screen and viewport on primary. However I can't stack together substance painter panels on secondary screen like I can on primary.
Isn't supported or I have to find magic option to turn this on? I am working under Windows 10, alsi I've read that OS has "each desktop has own spaces" option somewhere.


Anyone has solution for this problem, not workaround?
Reexporting, importing 20 files (I want to keep subobjects and take and advantage of name-matching between low and high poly meshes) isn't very efficient.

Why fbx format is loosing smoothing informations?

Usually it works, but when doesn't i have no clue why. Rotation pivot is set by painting some mesh area. Simple.
So why it does not work every time? What's the workaround?


Thanks, as you said, it's in this adjustement called "fill", created automatically every time along with a mask.

Substance PainterSubstance Painter - Discussions - How quickly scale my mask?

I am looking for this feature for the third time, never found an easy access to it.

I have a surface texture for adding fine details... but it has to be tiled. I am using it as a mask for filling layer, how to scale the mask? When I apply MG editor it ^&%*&% whole thing replacing my bitmap with some crazy curvature informations.

I meant visible textures resolution on a render. Why Iray is using scaled down textures for rendering? Where can I set-up texture size for rendering?

I assumed that when rendering IRay is using highest possible texture size (4k in my case). Good I checked, because when I paint my pc can handle only 1x1k and I have to remember (and struggle with performance) to switch to4k before pressing F10 for rendering. Can I set-up somewhere that Iray will use 4k textures by default without me remembering about switching from 1k to 4k?

I think everyone does it this way from time to time. Just scrolls through all blend modes of a layer and chooses best looking effect.
IN substance painter necessary is to pick up one by one from scroll-down list. Very time consuming, do you agree?


How can I create layer from a imported bitmap?

I have found a way. Would be great to could just drag and drop it from a shelf.
