I'm sad to hear this forum is closing, but glad it will still be accessible to read as there is a lot of useful information here.

Whilst the move to Adobe has obviously been a benefit to Substance in that the resources are there to develop it, I can't help feeling sad and worried about the continued 'absorption' into Adobe. I absolutely hate the Adobe cloud app (although I have to use it, hate the way photoshop installs and updates) and I fear this is what Substance will be like too.

Next thing after the forum closing will probably be less of the fantastic communication and dialogue the Substance team have always had to date with the user community. Lets face it, Adobe are s*** at that (sorry for the language but I'm upset) and their customer support is the worst I've experienced in any software I have used in the past 10 years.

I'm sure this has all been expressed before, but I'm making no apologies for it. I love love love Substance and the way the original company conducted itself and communicated to users, it has been an absolute joy to use and learn, and I fear within the next year this will be something of the past:(

Hi, I need to be able to convert colours I use in Substance Painter to RGB for another program. Does anyone know a formula that I can use please?

I will create a tutorial on how I made this asset.

All of the painting was done in Substance Painter. The skin, wrinkles, pores, blemishes, subdermal and translucency maps. Zbrush was only used to get the overall shape with large details like nasal labial folds.

Thanks Baptiste, I'm a bit surprised and dissapointed it's broken, I love the program but this makes it feel awkward to work with, and Alchemist was a big reason I took up subscription, so I look forward to seeing the fix soon.

Substance Alchemist - Technical Support - Save As not working + where are files saved

I'm working on a project and wanted to save with a new file name, but when I click Save As nothing happens at all. (I had opened an old file from the recent projects list and made some different textures I want to save as something else now). Also if I do a normal Save I'm not even sure where to find it on my computer (I usually like to safe projects to dedicated folders anyway). I read in another post that everything saves to the Appdata folder but I can't find anything in there either.

Can you help please?

Thank you Nicolas. It's not clear to me however the terms of use of content e.g. can anyone use materials that are shipped with Substance software, or obtained from Substance source to texture assets for commercial use? Also is it permitted to modify materials to create custom materials for commercial use (texturing assets, shaders etc.).

Could you provide some clarity please? Apologies if this info is elsewhere. If you could point me in the right direction that would great:)

Hi, the old page for the EULA is no longer available (dead link, 404). Could someone please provide the link to the correct page please? I couldn't see any information on the Legal page on the terms of use of materials from Substance Source, which is what I'm looking for.

Hi, I signed up the for the beta and was given access a few months ago. In the 14th of June I received an email saying my beta was extended until 31 Oct. But yesterday I got another email telling me it was ending in two days.

I'm confused. Can someone please confirm which is correct?

Substance Alchemist - Discussions - Alchemist not for non-subscribers??!

I see in the blog that Alchemist is currently only for subscribers. I can understand that this may be the case whilst it is in Beta, but I'd like to know if this is going to be the case when it's out of Beta. Please tell me it will be available under stand alone license like the other software at a later date...
