Source is not available for educational licenses.
You may have more options as an educator - see below.

Log into your account on (not the forums) and go to Licenses tab. Find SD in the list and go to All Builds - far right under current versions.

Might want to attach a log file so one of the techs can check your system.

You don't have "bake textures" on your list. That would be necessary for the masks to know where the edges, cavities are.

Give Blender a try and skip the license altogether. :) There are 2 quite capable render engines available out of the box. Plus all the features of a "name" 3D applicaton.
I just recently made the transition from 3DS Max and have not been disappointed.

Good luck!

Or, you mean I can just subscribe with existent account for full indie-licence price for 2 months, and then I can go back to student free license?

No - Jeremie said:

The half price Indie offer is intended for student graduating, you will not be able to go back to a student license if you switch to the Indie license this way.

Please re-read the reply before you make a mistake that will cost you your student license! ;)

What does what look like? The credit? Maybe something like:
Thanks to Daf57/Substance Share for some of the materials used in this artwork (link)!
Of course that can be however you want it to look.

Using standard materials from painter...

There is a lot of info on this subject already in the forums. Do a search - you may find something I missed or erred on.

Would I go about this process by clicking on the "cancel subscription and get a license" link under the subscriptions tab in my account?

Also, once I switch to the perpetual license, will I be able to keep my current amount of unused points for substance source

and is there a way to just buy more points in the future?

Not at this time. Maybe they have a plan to offer such in the future - but it's kind of a subscription bonus at the moment.

Unused points accumulate each month and never expire, even if you cancel your subscription your points will still be there to be used as needed.

Well that is odd isn't it? Use this e-mail to contact directly:
Be aware that they may not be back in office until Monday.
