So far no one from AMD or the Substance Team has commented on this, which is a bit disappointing.

That's not true, we have a sticky message about it with some workarounds until AMD fix the issue. Please take a look: https://forum.substance3d.com/index.php/topic,35908.0.html

Ha ! Then it it's likely we pushed additional update on the Steam version, beyond the Substance Painter 2 lifecycle. However my remark is still stand: your version is too old and doesn't support the latest sbsar format.

No update on the matter, we are still waiting on AMD to fix the issue.

Substance painter 2 is not Substance Painter 2017. It's older, see: https://docs.substance3d.com/spdoc/all-changes-188973073.html

As for your Sbsar files issue: Substance Source publish new content very often and that implies Substance file that user new features. Your version of Substance Painter is simply too old to open them (not compatible). If you cannot update to a newer version, you can use the Substance Player (which is free) to open the Sbsar files and export them as texture files.

A more recent version should be able to run yes, however I suggest running a trial version to be sure and test your working environment.

Usually this message appears when you are trying to open your project in a version of Substance Painter older than the version you used to save the project last time. Is this your case here ? Did you switch versions ?

I separated your post into new topic since the previous one was old.

According to Froyok, it should be possible to use a Wacom Intuos tablet in mouse mode and still have pressure support.
I'm not sure where I said that, but it looks like I was mistaken.
I have looked around and it seems Windows Ink doesn't support pressure when a tablet is in mouse mode, which means you won't get pressure in Substance Painter too.

Substance Painter doesn't have any font tool.
Moving this thread over the Substance Designer section.
