Okay. I'm figuring this out.

But, what if I want to isolate one piece of the UV texture to only paint to it and no seams? The UV texture is broken into various pieces per each textured item, so is there a way to isolate just one of those items and only paint on it?

I don't have an answer, but this seems like it should be an equally useful answer for my question - http://forum.allegorithmic.com/index.php/topic,1729.0.html

Not sure I can even do this. But, I want to take an already textured object into SP and do touchups. I have an object from DAZ Studio I have brought into SP, but all of the textures are missing. Do I need to do something special, like Atlas baked textures and then bring these textures into SP to paint over?

Thanks Kashaar. I had no idea, until now.

I can't get to UE's files, though I own it, via Kashaar's link.

Same thing for Allegorithmic.

Thank you Arampl! I just now noticed your answer.

Thanks Jeremie!  This is such good news. Quixel looks so good, so I can only imagine what's coming.  Can hardly wait.

Thanks so much!

How will this affect the textures we've already purchased? Will these be transformed to PBR and then may we re-download these with the PBR data?

Substance DesignerSubstance Designer - Discussions - Gloss

I'm trying to make a substance of gold and another of stainless steel.  Both are high gloss, but I'm having trouble making that happen.  Any suggestions?

Searched, but didn't find an answer for this.  I see how flexible and thorough Substance Designer is, but I'm wondering how I can take seamless textures I create with SD to the level of not creating clearly noticed patterns in my objects.  For example, a side of a mountain will have multiple differences across the same sort of rock, but the patterns will not be the same across the expanse of that rock...so it looks real.

Any ideas will be appreciated.  I'm curious what you all have done to make this work.

Since I have Substance Designer and will also be able to implement the new Modo plugin, what value and advantage is it to me to have Bitmap2Material as well?
