So At these moment I can't do any work with new substance painter since it crashes when I try to bake without highpoly mesh. It breaks on AO and Curvature baking. How can I fix these issue?

It would be nice to be able to use substance designer with pen tablet. Usually I switch between a lot of programs and sometimes it's a hassle to use mouse because designer doesn't play nice with tablet scroll input. Basically some type of switch for nav would be nice, for example pressing alt in graph view could switch pan function to scroll.

Could someone explain to me what actually memory sign in right bottom corner of SD means? I opened one of Substance Source materials at 4k

And it seams like it's struggling with memory allocation but my system and gpu memories are fine. Below 50% usage.
Also SD becomes quite sluggish. Not sure if the problem is 4k display and 1060 gtx.

I was wondering is there any efficient way to make substance tweak-able inside blender? I know that I can do that in 3ds max but it would be of much greater use in blender 2.8 since it has eevee. I am not sure what are the constrains of license eg is everything you put in it has to be open source?

Updated the colors and some bits and bolts to design. Totally removed wood, it just didn't work. And I think these will be my final entry. Good luck to everyone!

Hey all. Another contest! Yes! My idea for these contest is to capture the luxurious look of varnished wood that you can find on yachts, sometimes as airbrush design of motorcycle tanks. And ofc some crazy looking art cars. Actually one of the pinterest ideas was what brought my attention. Sooo... Here is the first wip:



And it's going to change a lot. What am I planning to do next is that I will:
- incorporate gold/rosegold details
- make separation of wood layers with some intrensic patterns
- add airbrush inside mechanisam clock pattern
- add floral/animal patterns (must make them work with clockwork details)
- avoid making it look tacky at all costs.

Hi! I was wondering is there a way to show only uv tiles per material in 2D view of substance designer?
I have a model with 4 different materials and can't see what is happening around uv tiles while working since all of them are overlaid one on top of the other.

Does anyone have the idea how to connect base random seed to the angle of of directional warp? Or is it even possible? Basically i want to have random angle based on random seed parametar.

It would be nice to be able to move sliders slower while pressing shift for example. It's little hard to move when you are fine tuning :/

I am wondering what kind of license does the plugin have? Can it be used in a studio which does not have any allegorithmic products?

Since yebis2 is very powerful engine we could benefit from the ability to output high resolution screenshots directly from our substance painter viewport. Same thing you have in unreal engine 4. In many cases for me it is enough to showcase the product but since there is no option for doing such a thing I have to go and use IRay which takes time.

So I am running into the issue where if I have meshes named as they should for "Matching by name" feature.
Basically I have one high poly mesh and 3 low poly meshes that use same uv space and same textures. No matter how I name them the baking process won't work.

Only way I've found to work is to bake on one low poly mesh and then change the mesh in project settings to tree.

Is there an easier way to do that so I don't have to have two separate LP mesh files? One for baking and other for painting?

For some reason when baking models in SP if i have models named as:
Mesh_high
Mesh_low
Mesh_second_high
Mesh_second_low

Somehow something get's mixed or wrong so I don't get bakes for "Mesh_second_low"

Is these normal behavior or a problem?

So I have u question regarding basically art related stuff.  I have no artistic background (mechanical engineering) and I would really like to know how to do it, but for real, since I always feel like I cut the corners when trying to do a breakdown. Every time feels like I have no idea what the hell am I doing. At least for materials. So my question is how does one learn how to break down material in big, medium and small forms?
