AND, the exports from Alchemist don't even tile correctly!  Here's the image in PS offset 50%.

Using Floor Tiles in Alchemist with roundness set to ZERO - see attached.  Still the roundness persists.  Why can't you get this right?  Alchemist is a headache!

I have a collection that I want three variations of the same material.  I create the first one and "save current materials as" to create the second one.  When I get to saving the third using save as from the second, it will not work.  I don't really expect an answer, but thought I'd try.  If I do, it will come months later.  How is anyone able to use Alchemist with all the problems in a viable workflow?

Did you ever get an answer for this?  I am having the same problem.  Here again, another unanswered post from way back!  Unbelievable!

koppiman - thank you very much for the response, however, this was two projects ago (posted December 10, 2019) and I never did find an answer.  You're certainly not responsible, but this is the absolute worst forum I have ever used.  Allegorithmic needs to step up their game when it comes to support!  I don't even bother posting anymore as I know I won't get an answer.  Again, I appreciate your input.

Substance Alchemist - Discussions - Square Corners

I am just started to use Alchemist - very cool app and quite easy to get good results.  I am trying to create a Carrara marble subway tile using the brick generator.  Is there anyway to get square (sharp) edges and corners?  Thanks!

Also, how do I upload an image to attach to my post?

I would really appreciate someone from Allegorithmic chiming in here - even if it is to confirm a bug.  I've got to get this project finished this weekend and need to know if I have to go to another app to do so.  Please advise.

I am trying to add end grain to a wooden beam - see attached.  When I try to apply my stencil via projection painting, it won't cover the entire masked area.  Further, the resolution is far too low to be of use.  The "material" I am using consists of a diffuse, glossiness, and normal image with a 1024K resolution.  I would appreciate some quick pointers as I'm on a deadline and don't want to have to take this into another app to complete.  Thank you.

I am exporting objects from Cinema 4D like I always do for import into Painter.  The texture sets are not showing up in the latest version (2017.4.0).  I have assigned materials to selection tags like I always have in the past.  I've even tried splitting the geometry into separate objects and assigning unique materials - nothing works.  Has something changed in the latest version?  I would appreciate some quick help as I'm on a deadline.  Thanks!

Thanks Jeremie.  I'll give it a try.

I did change the universal strength under viewer settings.  I couldn't lower the opacity of the height layer as I brought in my own height map.  If I lowered it, it would be too weak upon export.  Your documents show a height control in the Iray window.  Is this no longer available?

JustAViking - thanks for your input.  It was nice to see some type of response over the weekend.  I rarely post and when I do, a response seems to take days (sometimes months or not at all).  I know support is busy, but it doesn't help much when crunched for time on a project.  I appreciate your willingness to help.  Kevin

Guillaume -  Thank you very much for the detailed reply.  I was using Metal/Roughness with a script I found on Corona's forum and the results weren't so great (even after a lot of tweaking).

So, you are saying to ditch the IOR map completely?  Any way to get that map working in Corona?  Also, you mention using the specular slot.  Doesn't this defy the rules of PBR?

I guess what I am looking for is an exact recreation inside of Corona for C4D.  I will give Glossiness/Specular a try.

Thanks again, Kevin
