hey guys,
I just tried the new Substnace Painter casue im still on version 1... However im missing one important generator, its a rust generator with peeling effect on the sites... I alreday checked Substance Share for the SP1 generators but this particular Rust generator from SP1 is not avaiable for download. Any reason why it was removed ?

hey guys,
Do you guys have any plans to continue the Live subscription offer or let's say extend it for SP2?
I never used the Live subscription model but it would be nice to have the possibillity to update to SP2 by monthly payments...

hey guys,
I noticed a strange issue with some of the materials, after using a simple steel material i noticed that the diffuse slot stays always Black, even if the steel color is set to grey... So i used the base color slot in combination with the PBR/PBS node to convert the BaseColor to a Diffuse Color, the result was not black it was grey...

So which value is the right one ? the black or thr grey one ? I'm gussing the diffuse slot has some kind of error, so it shows up always black ?

hey guys,
I'm trying to create some new ceramic tile textures, actually ceramic tiles with a diamond patten but i can't figure out how to create a proper diamond pattern in SD, would be nice if someone could give me a tip.

I created some simple ceramic tiles and twisted them  "Angle 45" with a transformation 2D node but i got 2 issues,  The tiles are no longer seamless and the diamond pattern isn't locking right, not like a real diamond pattern.

hey guys,
I'm in the progress of creating some traffic light textures but i'm wondering how i can setup a substance where i can change the different light colos later in UE4? basically i'm looking for a node which can change between the 3 masks Red, Yellow and Green to swich between the different colors ... Any help would be great, thanks!

hey guys,
I have a little question about SBS files, what is the real file size or let's better say how high is the real memory usage of a sbs file within UE4? For example i just exported a sbs file from Designer which has like only 100KB, after importing the sbs file into UE4 i noticed that the same file just extracted "100 KB" showed up in my content folder in a size of 30 MB... My question is basically what is the real memory usage of my 100 KB sbs file ? Is it 100 KB ? or is it the 30 MB from my content folder ?

The last thread i read about 4K substances it was mentioned that allegorithmic is working on a solution/plugin update for UE4 ?

hey guys,
I'm wondering if someone can give a tip how to create a nice and smooth "not to sharp" bumpy wall paint texture like the one bellow.
I'm also asking myself which node would be good to break up a constant color paint, some areas should be slightly different in color to achieve a realistic wall paint.

hey guys,
For some reason i have some problems with my exported SBSAR files from SD.
The included normal map in my SBSAR file has some kind of isues.... When exporting just the normal map from the same
project, the normal map looks just fine. Any ideas what the issue could be?

The left one is showed in UE4 from the SBSAR File, the right one is simply just the normal texture...



It seems like when i'm changing the resolution from 256 to 2048 it's not really updated and the sbsra file keeps the 256 x resolution although it shows 2048 x...

hey guys,
I have a little question about substnace files in UE4, is there any way to convert the maps within the imported substnace file into simple textures? So they would basically work without the plugin after importing them with the plugin ?

And just by the way, are substance files currently supported on mobile devices? My last info was that there is no support so far, is that right?

hey guys,
Maybe someone could help me out a bit, i'm working right now on a wooden floor and i'm trying to get a special kind of wear effect on my floor. Basically i would like to apply the same effect on my floor like the old painted plank substance. My problem is that the avaiable mask generators didn't give me the result i'm looking foor, the edges of the wear effect are to smooth.

hey guys, i'm having here a weird issue with my material ID's in SD5, after creating all my maps and substnaces i'm trying to import my actual game mesh which is seperated in 2 substances and meshes. The object is seperated in Mesh 1 with Material ID1 and Mesh2 with Material ID2, for some reason SD didn't realize that i'm uisng two Material ID's and gives the possibility to ad only one material when clicking on a output "view in 3D view". The same issue happens when merging both meshes in max together but keeping two Material ID's.

hey guys, can someone help me out with a quick info... What node do i have to use when i like to show different types of flyers/rubish on a ground? Like from no fylers on the ground to a lot of flyers, so it can be procedural adjusted.
