Hello, how are you?

I am modeling some objects in Maya , most of them are separated to facilitate the paint as shown in the following image : ( http://prntscr.com/azqxz1 )
But I would like to select only one of these objects in substance painter so I can paint it separately from other objects and get the painting I want, I found no tutorial and as I am new in the program do not know what to do this, could I help out? ( http://Http://prntscr.com/azqyd7 )
I want you only the trunk or only a part of the tree foliage. How do I do that?

You can only isolate the UVs via a mask, you cannot isolate the polygons themselves in the viewport at the moment.
