Author Topic: Texture Shelf  (Read 2239 times)

Hello, how can i create a blank texture shelf just like the substance painter 1? when i baked textures, i can't find them in this "texture shelf" because it's full of orther stuffs. Thank you!

For the moment we don't have a native filtering in the shelf.
The only way for now is to move/remove the textures. You can find them in "My Documents\Substance Painter 2\shelf\allegorithmic\textures".
Don't forget your log file. It can be exported from the Help menu of the software.

thank you for your reply

Painter definitely needs some way to filter/ sort the textures shelf.

It takes far too long to find the texture you are looking for when its just one big list where you need to hover the mouse pointer over a certain texture for several seconds to display its full name on top of that.

I've been thinking about this quite a lot lately...
in the current absence of a way to properly organize all these images,
would it be possible to mark the thumbnail somehow?
so you could have an icon/image/etc in the top corner and that would help identify the 'group' of textures/alphas etc?

A simple extra shelf only for additional maps would do the trick.
