Author Topic: Iray renderer renders invisible objects?  (Read 4030 times)

is it OK, that Iray renderer rendres even objects/textures sets that are switched off? I think much more logical will be if items that are switched off will not be rendered...

That's normal for the moment, it is not yet possible to hide some parts of your meshes in Iray. That's planned however.

Meanwhile I use a trick which is to add an opacity channel inside the texture set that I want to hide and set it's opacity value a 0. This way the set will be hidden in Iray and won't contribute to the rendering.
Don't forget your log file. It can be exported from the Help menu of the software.
