Author Topic: Preserving file settings  (Read 916 times)

Painter doesn't maintain a couple settings for me between projects and/or exports. There are 2 that I would love to set and forget:
1. When starting a new project, can I default to OpenGL instead of DirectX? I'm on a Mac. Small thing;
2. Bigger issue is Painter forgets the export project settings (which maps preset) between sessions. Can it be set to preserve this?
Thanks, Kevin

Hey kevintraywick,

I don't think you can set OpenGL to default.
You should be able to create an export preset, though, and save it so you can reuse it as often as you like.

You can save your setup as a new template throuhg the file menu. It will allow you to just choose the template once when you create a new project and it will srtup everything, from normal format, to export and bake options.
