Author Topic: SP2 Question: Smudge across UV seams?  (Read 1713 times)


Of all the new features listed for SP2, the smudge tool is the one that interests me the most, but none of the promotional material or videos really go into any kind of depth with it. Can it be used to smudge, blend, or blur across UV seams in the 3D viewport? Can someone make a quick video showing this, since the official one just smudges some random painting on the flat front surface of a character's pants.

Just tested it, it smudges color across seams nicely.

Not sure if there would be a way of smudging baked normal maps to cover those types of seams, but I just started playing.
