Author Topic: Trouble with Multiply/Subtract nodes  (Read 3577 times)

Hey guys, have been following the Cymourai SD tutorial and enjoying it so far, only had a problem with the blend nodes with it comes to overlaying 'base elements' using the curvature map in tutorial 5.

He uses a blend node with a multiply or subtract mode - his version (on the left) blends or masks the details quite nicely, while when I try to do the same (image on the right) it just shows black spots all over the model. I've messed with the opacity settings but can't seem to achieve the same look with some small wear, just black spots all over. Anything I could be doing wrong? Thanks :)

It seems like your levels node is different. In the video the levels is used to make the curvature darker while yours seems to make it brighter ?
